SUMMARY AND FORECAST. \ Present indications are for increasing northerly and westerly winds, strong to gale, squally, unsettled, and cloudy weather, with heavy showers in most parts of the country, especially on West Coast. The barometer will prob- ' ably fall everywhere. Southerly winds, strong to gale, have decreased, and backed by west to northerly with decreasing force, and the barometer has risen considerably in the north. Greytown, September 11.—Summer day. Shannon, September 11.—Rain fell at Intervals on Tuesday night. Wednesday was cold, dull, and wet. Otaki, September 11.—Sunshine, with occasional dullness. •Featherston, September 11.—Fine, bright day, with N.W. breezo. Maaterton, September 11.—A heavy fait of rain occurred last nlcht, over half an inch being recorded. A bright spring day followed. Hastings, September 11—To-day has been sunny and warm. Feilding, September 11.—Oold, showery, and windy day and night.
