Tho wicket was easy. Webster, Emery, Whitty, and Smith wero omitted from the colonial eleven. Chaplin won tho toss, ami batted. When stumps were drawn, the homo representatives had scored 120. M'Lareu clean-bowled Hobbs first ball, llnrrett showed same lino driving, his innings of 51—a chanceless display—including eight 4's. Fifty appeared in f>r> minutes, and 100 in 100 minutes. Simms played splendid all-round cricket, and Keif, who drove brilliantly, after scoring 41 played a ball on from Ivelleway. His total contained a G and seven 4's. The second century was hoisted in 100 minutes. Vino batted 2«0 minutes, getting his century in 235 minutes. Features of his innings were a splendid defence and good driving. He got 14 off' ono over from Minnett. His score of 107, mado by chanceless cricket, included a 5 and fourteen 4's. Kidtl, after being bowled by a no-ball from JKcllewny, and missed twico before scoring, got GO in G5 minutes. Hitch, by big driving, got 27 in 10 minutes.
