/ WELCOME TO THE REV. J. E. WATTS- ' . DITCHPIELD. The Eev. J. E. The Bishop ot Wellington (Dr. Sprotti presided, and introduced .Mr.' Watts-jtirchfield to the gathering as a strenuous and most successful • worker in one pf the most difficult fields.of the Church.- and as a strong leader in the Church of England Jlon's -Society. Mr. Wr-.fts-DitchficUl was given a most enthusiastic reception on rising to spent, being .greeted with appbme and cheers. He reviewed in an entertaining and conversational strain Iho present" condition nnd progress of the C.E.M.S., whose members, he said, numbered in roun'd figures 120,000. with 4210 branches, scattered oil over the world. At Hie clcse cf the address the.speaker a.niswcred various questions. A mass meeting for men is to be held at the Town Hall on Sunday next at 3 p.m.
