(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, September !). The .Masterton Amateur Dramatic Society will stage "H.M.S. Pinafore" in the Town' Hall on Wednesday and Thursday evening. A meeting of representatives of school committees and local bodies has been convened for Wednesday next, to discuss the question of the establishment of a High School in tho district. His Excellency- the Governor will tomorrow open tho local branch of the Overseas Club. He will be entertained at luncheon by members of the club prior to the ceremony. Ploughing operations in this district oro now well advanced. In some parts cereals are already . showing above the ground. The teachers attending the Spring Agricultural School here are to have a "field day" on Wednesday, when they will bo accompanied by Dr. Cockayne, Government biologist.
