Wedding in St. Mark's. Yesterday afternoon, at St. Mark's Church, tho marriage took place of Miss Doris Marks, daughter of Mr. 'Marcus Marks, of Wellington, to Mr. Thomas M'Laren. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev. Mr. Askew, and the organ was played by Mr. D. Kenny. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charmingly pretty trained gown of white embroidered satin and ninoii, and a veil caught in with a coronet of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white rose?, cyclamen and maidenhair fern.. • Inere wero three bridesmaids in attendance, Miss Clark being the chief and the Misses M'Laren (sisters of the bridegroom) the other twD. They wore white silk frocks, with touches of pink on tho bodice, nnislied with girdles of pink rosebuds, ami Marie Stuart caps of lace, threaded with pink bebe ribbon. Yesterday morning, at St. Mary of the Angels, Boulcott Street, a weddins was celebrated, when Miss Molly Hamilton, a member of tho above Church choir, was married to Mr; Barry Smith, of the firm of Bing, Harris and Co. The bride wore ivory satin with tho customary wreath and veil, and the bridesmaid (Miss Johnston) was in a white embroidered robe and carried a shower bouquet. Tho Rev. Father Herring performed the marriage ceremony and Miss Rita Hodgins (niece of the bridegroom) r/resided at the organ. Mr. (Happy) Smith, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man, and the bride was given away by her brother. •\ reception was held after the ceremony at Godber's, Cuba Street. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moore, of Carterton, who are spending a few days in town, are the'guests of Mrs. G.'Richards, Ghuzneo Street. Miss Ruby Kitchen, of Otaki, is spending a few days in Wellington. An error crept inio the report of the G.F.S. work, given by Mis.s Humphries at the "Know Your City" Conference held on Saturday. The G'.F.S., for 25 years, has met and befriended girls of. all denominations coming froni England (not us was stated only the girls of the Anglican Church) who have been commended to it by the G.F.S. or Travellers' Aid Society. The Rev. Canon Garland and Mrs. D. J. Garland are now residing at "Coo-ee, Ijpland Road, Kelburne. The Misses Gorrie (Auckland) are staying at the Heretaunga. golf-house, and leave on Thursday for Palmerston. Tho Misses. M'Laren (Auckland) are visiting Wellington, and aro the guests of Mr. Marcus Marks. Mr. and 'Mrs. M'Laren are also in Wellington. Miss W. Cotter' (Auckland) and Mrs. Horton are making a brief stay in Wellington. .
