Tho fortnightly sales of wool, hides, and taJlcnv were held yesterday, the various brokers' reporlu are given as follow:— Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was spirited for all classes- of produce. Wool and hides were firm at late rates, whilst ekins advanced one farthing. Tallow was firm. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., and Reduced, report:—Wβ submitted abbut 40 bales of wool, consisting mostly of crutchings of fairly good quality, a large quantity of sheepskins, hides, calfskins, and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers and excellent prices were obtained. Wool was:in-keen demand at about jd. per lb. above last ■■ sale's rates. Sheepskins advanced about id. per lb. and hides about Jd. per lb. Tallow fold well.
