Anglican Churchmen in Australia havo for some timo past been keenly discussing the .legal nexus binding tne Church in Australia to the Mother Church of England. Tho 'opinions of the highest legal, authorities in England and Australia have been obtained ou the question, and the matter is being debated by all the synods. Some Churchmen contend that the existing ties should be maintained, while others are strongly in favour of autonomy for the Australian Church.
