SUDDEN DEATH.
HEART FAILURE THE CAUSE. 'An inquiry into tho death of Mrs. Grace Smith, of Aro Strot , , was conducted by Dr. M'Arthur yesterday afternoon.. Dr. A. W. Hogg said ho was called at 2.30 p.m. on September I to 120 Aro Street, tho residence of David Alexander Smith. ; Deceased had .then been dead only a few minutes. An examination, indicated tlmt slio was an apparently healthy woman, about 35 years of age. There were no ninrlcs of violence on tho body. After what tho husbnud had said he would far that death was caused through heart failure. David A. Smith, husband of tho docensed, snid that his wife had nover been ill or attended by a doctor. They were packing tip tltoiv furniture to remove to (mother house. Deceased was in the kitchen working, whilst her husband uns behind her, when ho heard the deceased crv out that she folt ill. Ho rushed into tho kitchen and caught hold of tho deceased who died in his arms. All shfl said aasho collapsed wosi "Oh, Dave!" After attending to deceased the doctor was called and pronounced life extinct. A verdict; of death from heart failure was returned.
