MILK VENDORS FINED.
♦ (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, September 5. At the Tolice Court. 'Minimis Colgiin, milk vendor, admitted selling milk containing more water than is permitted under the Sale of Foods and Drugs Act. Ho was fined •£") nnd costs. 'William M'Fetridgo was charged that on July 21 ho sold milk containing more walor than is permitted by the Act. Mr. Stilling appeared for accused, and Taised a technical point that the case had been brought on a. couplo of days before the summons was legally returnable. This point beiug upheld, the charge was struck out, but a chargo had bren laid against Samuel M'Fetridje, son of the previous accused, who bad been vending (ho milk from which the sample was taken by tho inspector. The young man entered a plea of guilty, amf he was lined .£lO and 17s. 6d. costs. Georgo llnnnan, for selling milk containing a small percentage of water, was fined .i! 5 and 17s. fid. costs.
