THE VERMONT ELECTIONS. A JAR FOR THE REPUBLICANS. New York, September 4. Tho result of the elections in tile Stat* of Vermont is admitted to bo serious for tho Republican forces. A similar result has not occurred during the past fifty-six years in which tlio Republicans have been, supremo in the Stnto Legislature and all other offices. The Vermont elections totals gives the voting strength as: 26,000 Regular Republicans; 20,000 Democrats; 15,000 Rooseveltiaus; and a Prohibition vote of 11,000.
