Tho Clarence Mine, at Bethunc, in which 27 men aro entombed in consequence of an explosion uf liru-damp, is on fire. There aro frequent explosions. Two of tho rescuers have been killed'and three seriously injured. It is feared that tho majority of (hose rescued from the mine will succumb to their injuries. Most of tlio bodies aro unidentifiable, Five of tho injured men have succumbed.
