NEGOTIATIONS AT AN END. Bj Telegraph—Press Association-Conyrfelit Sydney, September 5. The Commonwealth Governmont has rejected the terms offered by the New South Wales Government regarding the Governor-General's Sydney residence. New South Wales refuses to modify its demands, and negotiations aro ended. Lord Denman will leavo Government House shortly, and tho Stato Government will thereupon take possession and .throw tho grounds open to tho public. It will decide subsequently the purpose for which it will utilise the residence.
