NO REPLY TO THE DEMANDS. By TeleEra-ph—Press Association— Oopyrieht (Rec. September 5,11.15 p.m.) London, September 5. ' The "Daily Mail" states that China has not replied to the British demands for the withdrawal of Chinese troops-from Tibet. When the memorandum was presented, a member of the Chinese Government personally rejected it, but the President, Yuan-Shih-Kai, repudiated the action.'
CHINESE PRESS INDIGNANT. (Rec. September S, 11.15 p.m.) Peking, September 5. 'A garbled version of the British Tibetan piemoraindum has caused a virulent Chinese press campaign. Ono journal characterises the British policy as conceived ond resting upon fraud and unrighteousness. : "
