Pahiatua, September 1. A special meeting of the Pahiatua central'branch of tho New Zealand larrners' Union was held here yesterday for the purpose of considering the advisability of the sale and exchange of farming properties boing conducted through tho local branch of the union. Tho meeting was largely attended, and the proposal was largely endorsed. A committee was set up to draw up the scheme. , It was proposed to extend the movement, getting other branches to -work in unison. The meeting condemned tho Land Agents Bill now before Parliament, holdin<' that it would create a monopoly, and that Urn Bill was simply in tho interests of the big land ngonls.
