■. YBAE'S TRANSACTIONS. ' In their report for. the period ended July 31, the'directors of the Shannon Cooperative Dairy Company state that for the eleven months suppliers delivered 375,0921b. of butter-fat; for 'which they received £19,713 10s. 7d. Butter manufactured amounted to 196 i tons, compared .with 158 tons for the, previous twelve months, an increase of 38J tons. Tho average test was 3.91, a,nd,it took 21.341b. of milk'to produce lib. of butter, the over-run being 17:34. The following prices were paid for butter-fat:—September to January, Is.; February and March, 131 d.; April, Is.; and May. and June, Is. Id. Tho balance of profit and loss, after providing, for all working expenses, is £1070 Bs. 9d., which, with the balance brought forward from last year, makes £2037 Us. 2d. From this amount £367 15s. 2d. was written off by way of depreciation, and the balance.was proposed to be appropriated .as follows:—Payment of a dividend of 6 per ceiit. on the paid-up capital, the balanco to be carried forward. During the year a residence was built for the creamery manager at Poxton, also a storeroom -[and stables. A produce store was erected at Shannon, and so suppliers were enabled toiobtain tlieisgoods*nl aanininvmn cost. The turnover amounted to £1447. Everything points to another successful year.
