REFORM CAUSE.
LEAGUE FORMED IN WESTLAND. (Bj Tclesrftph.—Press Association.) Hokitlka, September 3. A well-attended meeting was held hero to-night for the purposo of establishing a Westlaud branch of tho New Zealand Reform League. Mr. G. A. Perry (Mayor) presided. , The meeting was very enthusiastic, and a number of resolutions {including ono relating to tho formation, of a league, and another extending an invitation to tho Hon. Mr. Massey and Iris Ministers to visit tho district* at the earliest opportunity) were carried unanimously. It was also resolved to form a ladies' branch of tho league, and a largo iramber of members were enrolled. ■ The speeches wore of tho vigorous order, and, during tho course of the meeting, it was reported that over two hundred had joined the branch. The Westland Heform Leaguo is tho first of its kind to lie. established in tho district.
