SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for easterly winds, etroair to gaJe, in and northward of .Cook Strait, and moderate to strong elsewhere. The weather will probably be cloudy and .unsettled generally, with rain in most parts of the country, and heavy rain is to be expected in tho northern and eastern districts of the North Island. Tbo barometer is very unsteady, and is likely to tail everywhere. Increasing cloudiness has prevailed, with rain, in the northern districts, and much mist and £ob on the East Coast of the South Island.
