The fortnightly meeting of tho Sydney Street and Northland Primitive Methodist Mutual • Improvement Society was hold last evening when there was a good attendance of members, the president (the Rev, P. J. Cossum) occupying, the chair. The evening was devoted to impromptu, speeches when quite a number of members woke on topics of a varied character. ■U an interval Mr. Robb gave a recitation. Arrangements were mode for a debate at the next meeting with tho Webb Street Society.
