SUPREME COURT.

In the Supremo Court on Sulurday morning, Mr. Justice Sim heard argument in the case of tho Ollicial Assignee v. Ilonry. Fielder and Co. The claim was for possession of furniture (allegedly part of Granville Hunt's bankrupt; estate) or for .C'2oo damages. The furniture had been sold to Hunt by defendants and as payment had not been completed, defendants took'it over. Shortly after they did so, Hunt ivas adjudged a bankrupt.

Evidence in tho case was heard on Thursday and details of tho claim and the defence wove published in Friday's issue. After hearing argument 011 Saturday his Honour reserved decision. Mr. M. Myers appeared for the Official Assignee, while Mr. C. B. Morison. with him Mr. D. Smith appeared for Feilder and Co.

MOUNT COOK COURT. The following offenders were charged with drunkenness at the Mount Cook Police Court oil Saturday morning, before Mr. L. M'Kenzie, J.P.:—Norman. .Campbell was fined 205., with tho alternative. of 'seven days' imprisonment. Patrick Shannon, James Patterson, Philip Sharkey, and one first offender were each fined 10s., with the option of forty-eight hours' detention 1 . . Malcolm Brown. and William Sham were each mulcted in the sum of 55., the alternative being fixed at twenty-four hours' detention. Robert Grant and one first offender, who was on bait, were convicted and discharged.'
