G. H. Andrews. He was confident that tho new Bishop would coity .with him the prayers and aspiration's of all English friends of tho inisswii. The new president, tho Bishop of Rocl e 6 - Vev in a preface, also expresses tho belief Hint the new Bishop, Dr. Wood. is eimnent.lv fitted for tho task which lies before him. The Molanesian Mission, lie says, has a distinction and a glorv peculiarly its own, but it is 'shnmofn y mulernianned.'and its members terribly isolated and lonely." As a consequence, ,n tho last six vears fivo priests have laid down their lives for tho faith m tho Islands.
