They were ailviscd that the matter would be dealt with at the next mestinj of 'th; board. Mr. A. Meek, solicitor, appeared before tho board on behalf of K 11. Joliannsen, occupier of Maiißataiivoka .T, No. t, which had been declared Crown land. Ho stated that his client lisld a leass from tho Natives, and had a promise that his lease would l>e renewed. Ho was advised that tho application should be mads to the board for a temporary lease of (ho land, the samo to bo submitted to the next meeting of tho board. Messrs. Stanley and Clarke wailed on tho board in reference to a previous application for additional land at the back of their holdings, in the Gnrrhigion Settlement. They were advised to make a formal application for the same (a forest reserve) at the next inciting of the board. Mr. J.
