Burt was in tho c'la and after discussion the following resell tion was carried:— I "That a clause bo i sorted in the condition of contract pi viding for the Wages Protection and Co tractors' Liens Act being a condition contract, and that the executive be i strncted to bring before the notice of t Government through tho Parliaments Committee that the Wages Protection ai Contractors' Liens Act, 190 ft, j» inopci tive, and that a penalty should be i tachcd making it compulsory for the su contractor to enforce it." • Mr. I'ryor, secretary of the New K< land Federation of Employers' address the conference, and it was resolved: "That this New Zealand Federation Master Plumbers affiliato with tho N( Zealand Federation of Employers." Messrs. Thomas liallingci, U. \ Davies, and P. J. Ramsay were appoint; to represent the master plunibciis on li 'Parliamentary Committee and Adviso Board of the New Zealand Federation Employers. ' Tlie conference decided that the Fe oration should approve of a Dominii award under the" Industrial Conciliate and Arbitration Act. Dr. Frengley, District Health Office was requested by tho conference to a dress them-on the Plumbers' Rogistrati' Bill. The conference discussed tho 'ai ous clauses of the proposed Bill, ar came to decisions which will lie discuss* with the Hon. tho Premier at a deput. tion. Mr. W. H. Davies presided at a dinni and convivial gathering which was give at tho Burlington last evening to tlio.vi iting delegates by tho local associatioi Songs and recitations were given 1: Messrs. Tho gentlemen's annual concert in coi nection with the Sydney SI root and Nortl land Priinitivo Methodist Mutual In provemcnt Society was held on Wedne :la.v evening in the Sydney Street, P.J Schoolroom, anil proved a great succcs: I'ho items comprising the program™ ivor«|Of a varied character, and were a liven in an excellent manner. Dawson, J. L. Lunt, aiu i. E. Luke.' A special feature was ! ialogue entitled 'Two Faint. Hearts am Fair Lady," wliicli was given by gen lemon members in a capital manner. Mr V. IT. Bedell gnvo a xylophone solo aiu n being recalled contributed a bunji 'ilo. A novelty in tho form of "Movins 'ictures" by members, provided mucli niusoment. Mr. W. K. Millier played ai: rerturo and also acted as accompanist, elections by "Susan's" Band, in which lembers had a variety of costumes ami istruments, provoked great laughter ami included a most enjoyable entertainlent.
