HARBOUR BOARD.
The monthly moating of the Wellington Harbour Board was held last, night. Tliero were. present: Messrs. R. Fletcher (chairman),: 0. W. Jones, R.C. Renner, J. E. Fitzgerald, J; Trevor. J. W. Jl'Ewen, M. Cohen. C. E. Daniell, J. G. Cobbe, A. MTarlane, and P.'C..Freeth. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs. .7. G..Harkness,'W. Hildreth, and A. H. Hindmarsli, M.P. ' The statement of accounts showed that, there was a'balance of '.£31,888 6s. sd. to the credit of the current account, and a balance of .£1417 ISs. Gd. to the credit of tho Imprest account. The amount on fixed deposit is ,£70,000. It' was reported by the chairman tlint tho contract for tho sea wall at tho Te Aro reclamation had been completed by Mr. C. I\-Pulley. The matter, he said, would be'brought up in committee. The engineer .was instructed to prepare preliminary, plans and cstinintes tor the Pipitca , wharf. ■■".'• A letter was received from Mr. J. T. Stewart, of Wnngnn.ui, , covering a gift to the board of an interesting photograph showing' the Queen's WUtirf under construction in 1802-3. The thanks of the board'we're,, by resolution, accorded the donor.
