Three millionaires acted successfully as firemen when the- palatial club houseof the Chicago Golf Club was partially destroyed by tire. Ex-Judge Payne and Messrs. Evans and Sa,wyer climbed to the roof and cut a holo in it. They then deluged the interior. After the fire had been put out millionaires subscribed .£IO,OOO to rebuild the club house at once.
