'A' Russian immigrant, who was appearing as a witness in the District Court, on being asked whether he would agree to an adjournment of the case, replied that he was going to a consumptive .sanatorium to-morrow. An inquiry showed that he was an incurable consumptive. The Bench ordered the destruction, of the Bible which the witness had kissed. A solicitor remarked that he had met thrco consumptive witnesses - in three [ weeks. They wero all immigrants.
