JOHNSON-JEANNETTE FIGHT' OFF. By Teleeraph—Press Association—CoDyriirht (Rec. August 24, 0.35 a.m.) New York, August 23. The promoters of the Johnson-Jeannette fi?ht, after a conference at the Athletic Club, declared the fight off. The club declared that no pressure was brought to bear to induce it to cancel the' fixture, but it simply desired not to allow Johnson to appear in any ring in New' York State.
