TREATMENT FOR BOTS.
A VETERINARIAN'S ADVICE. In addressing an Agricultural Bureau Conference recently, Mr. F. E. Place, South Australian Government Veterinary Surgeon, is reported to have said that if a man suspected that his horse was troubled with lx>ts, he should starve it for 24 hours, and then the first thing in tho morning give 4oz. or soz. of ox or sheep gall in a pint of lukewarm milk, and follow two hours afterwards with a purgative of taw linseed oil. Bots, he added, were not often responsible for tho death of horses, but they lowered tho condition of llio animal,' and some other complaint killed them.
