LILYFIELD TRAGEDY.
THE INQUEST. By Telegraph—Press .Association—CoDyricht (Kec. August 22, 10.20 p.m.) Sydney, August 22. An inquest was held to-day in connection with the recent tragedy at Lilyfield, in which a man named Harry Johnson fatally shot George Morgan, wounded Morgan's wife, and then shot himself in the mouth. The verdict was that Johnson shot Morgan nnd then committed suicide. Mrs. Johnson gave evidence that sho left her husband becauso lie gambled, illtreated her, and frequently threatened to kill her. Johnson left two pitiful notes making charges against his ivifo and a man, threotening revenge. Ho added: ."I want t« get the lot of us together, and then I won't bo responsible for my deed." He asked-that the furniture should bo sold, and the proceeds devoted to the support of. his child.
