1 POSSIBILITIES OF CALIFORNIA. By Tclceraph—Press Association—Copyright San Francisco, August 21. Mr. P. E. Quinn, Acting-Commissioner of Trade for Now South Wales, is investigating conditions throughout California. Ho urges that the Pacific Coast should establish textile manufactories, as Australian wool is shipped to San Francisco cheaply, and thus build up as great on industry as is now held by New- England. Mr. Quinn has also suggested that Australian moat would gTeatly reduce the cost of living in California.
