CATASTROPHE IN ALASKA.
A GLACIER BURSTS. By Telegraph—Press Aesociation-Copyrighl Vancouver, August 21. Cable advices from Alaska announce that a glacier burst in the Lake District, causing the Copper River to rise 12ft. in a few hours. The railroad was partially swept away and a bridge destroyed. Extensive damage has been done. It is not known if any lives have been lost.
