Devon, and reads:— "I, Charles W. Stubbs, of Stokenliam .Vicarage, South Devon, do give and bequeath all tile real and personal estate to which I shall be entitled at the time of my deceaso unto my wife, Harriett Stubbs, absolutely, and I hereby appoint mv said wife solo executrix of tin's, my will." The King has approved tho appointment of Lieutenant-General Sir John Ec-' eles Nixon toan Army command in India, which will become vacant on October .10, in consequence of the retirement of General Sir E. G. Barrow from tho command of the Southern Ariny.
