In connection with the establishment of tiro naval base at Auckland, it lias been decided to construct a submarine harbour, plaiis for ui© work having been prepared by the engineer for tho Auckland Harbour Board. Several shore depots will Ixs built to accommodate gear, plant, ctc., and an oil tank mil be required for tho storago 6f oil fuel, the estimated cost of tho works is about 4:45,000.
