THE PRIZE WINNERS, Tho Wellington Konncl Club opened their twenty-sixth annual dog show yesterday morning in tho Harbour Board's U Shed, opposito tho ferry wharf. Tho presidmit, Mr. A. TV. Blair, performed tho ■ opening ceremony. 'i'hu judging was undertaken, by the following;:—St. Bernards, Groat Dams, Borzois, JDeerhounds, Greyhounds, Settors, Retrievers, Collies—ilr. Paul Hunter. Pointers, Bulldogs, Spaniels—Mr. ]I. S. Kyle. lSuli Terriers and I'ox Terriers I —Mr. Frank Re.cd. Irish Torriers— Mr. ! C. E. llaiiaen. All other breeds—Mr. Ivan Levy. The New Zealand' Inter-Island. Challenge Shield for fox terriers (both varieties) was won by tho North Island, ol>taining 138 points wid the South Island Tho trophy for the best fox terrier of either sex or of nny variety was won by tho present holder, Mr. E. J. Smith, of Hastings, who gained 25 points, thereby boating Mr. C. L. Thomas, of Napier, who gained 21 points. Mr. Smith gained live I first prizes with his puppy bitch (under I 12 months), No. 262 Atea. Green nnd Sons was awarded to Mr. J. G. Parker for his rough-coated collie, Mosgiel Sensaticn. Tho gold medal donated by Air. H. Muir for tho best Irish setter, dog or bitch, was awarded to F. Daines's- Irostono Kitty. The cup presented by Mr. T. Coleman for tho best brace of pointers, to bo w.on twice- in succession or threo times at intervals, was won by Mr. P. H.
