Present indications are for increasing northerly anil westerly winds, fair to cloudy weather, unsettled, on the West Ooast, and southern districts, of the South Island, and a, slowly decreasing barometric pressure. Tho weather has been generally fair, with showery weather on the West Coast of' the South Island, and equally at times in Foveaux Strait. Moderate to strong westerly winds have predominated. Shannon, August 21.—Weather dull and unsettled, with occasional showers. Otaki, August 21,—Fine. Carterton, August 21—Fino warm weather prevails, there being a. light frost this morning; indieatings point to a change. Groytown, August 21.—Tho weather is now all that can be desired. 1 Fcathoroton, August 21.—Fine, bright day. Masterton, August 21.-Another raiid spring day, though cloudy at times. There are indications for change.
