BUTTER GRADING.
ACT DECLARED INVALID. By Telegraßh—Preßs Association—CODyrleht Sydney, August 20. In a test case, the High Court decided 'that tho section of the Trades Description Act providing that butter companies should have butter graded and marked by tho Customs Department was ultra vires. Tho plaintiffs, the Woodstock Dairy Company, claimed that their own marks were sufficient, and that tho Customs , grading and marking were illegal, and would have a prejudicial effect on the sale of the butter.
