TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially irritton for Tub DoHliUott.] s TUESDAY. Rico Soup. Roast Pork. Apple Sauce, s Baked Potatoes. Cabbage. Baked J Custard. Slewed Fruit. RICE SOUP. ! Quarter pound rice (1 gill), 3 pints white I stock, 1 pint of milk, IJoz. butter, -J a 3 -small turnip or parsnip, 1 large onion, i 1 potato, 1 stalk of celery, 1 teaspoonful I of salt, a small piece of lemon peel, 1 i bay leaf. Put the butter in a saucepan i and let it melt. Put in the well-washed I rico and the sliced vegetables. Let them ; cook in the butter for a few minutes, but 5 not colour. Pour on the stock, add the ( lemon peel and bay leaf, and boil for j an hour. Rub through a sieve, add the ! milk and simmer for a few minutes. Serve with sippets of fried bread. I FOR TO-MORROW. White Stock. Cream. Two Pounds Steak. Vinegar. Parsnips. Apricot Jam.
