The Otaeo Rugby Union Committee to'nignf; further considered the charge of misbehaviour brought against members of the Olago team which visited lnvercargill' recently. Childs and Ongley, two members of the |team, denied that tljey took any part in tho affair. A number of boarders at the Railway Hotel, whore tho team stayed, said that they .had nothing to do with tho horseplay on the night in question. The president of the Otago Union stated that he had seen a lady who had boarded at tho hotel where the team stayed. She averred that Graham, a member of the Otago team, was running up and down tho passage- with a water jug in his hand, going from his room to the bathroom. She did aot actually seo him, but she heard people calling him by name. It was .decided to ask' tho Southland Union to hold an inquiry and forward the evidence taken to the Otago Union. A HOUSE MATCH. Yesterday afternoon, at the Athletic Park, a football match took place bchveen teams representing the city fruit markets. Ono of the teams represented tho firm of L'aery and Co., and the other was selected from the offices of Messrs. Tcwnsend and Paul, Messrs. Thompson wid Co., Messrs. G. Thomas and Co., and Messrs. Griffiths and Co. The game was a fnst one, and resulted in tho combined team defeating Messrs. Laery and Co. by 15 points to 3. For the winners, H. Roberts, Cunningham, and Thompson scored tries, and Roberts also potted a goal. One try was converted. Blinkenscott scored for the losers.
