Mr. Howard, a member-of tho Federation Executive, arrived yesterday, and a lengthy meeting followed, tho outcome being-that a deputation was appointed to interview the management and ask if tho strikers would bo taken back unconditionally. Tho management refused; adhering to tho previous condition that those, going bnek to work must join the Arbitration Court. A union meeting (hen decided to de* elaro the strike ended.
