Starting with tho Royal Show in September, the local, including tho Caulfield and Melbourno races and tho Henley regatta, extend' over a period of threo months.-. ■'. t Tho scheme proposes to compress theso into a shorter period. It is thought that if Sydney similarly concentrated its fixtures and terminated tho amusement period with tho 6pring races; tho period would prove a great attraction for visitors from Britain, America, and other places.
