THE ESCAPED PRISONERS.
MAKING FOR OTA KIP The two young men, Andrew Bergom Mm and George Paul, who escaped from tho Point Halswell prison camp last Wed* nesday, had not been recaptured when inquiries were mado of tho police latb last night. Karori residents stato that two men answering the discription of the escapees were in that 1 district on Friday last, and it is now thought that tha pair havetravelled in tho direction of Otati. Tilers is no certainty on tho point, but tho supposition has boon, arrived at in conso(]ucnco of the various reports which have! come to hand.
