Stringer, cominandor, berthed at the Queens' Wharf No. 6, yesterday morning, the vessel having arrived in the stream at Wellington from San Francisco during the previous evening. A report of the voyage supplied by the purser (Mr. Andrews) stated that the Manuka passed through Wellington on her way from Sydney to San Francisco on June 22, arriving at Rarotonga on June 26, Papeete Juno 28, and San Fraucksco July 11. Rough seas and cloudy weather were experienced to the Island ports, tbenco fine weather to the "Golden Gate." The return journey was commenced at noon on July 24. The vessel had on board 110 passengers (including 60 first-class), and 1850 tons of cargo for the Island?, Now Zealand, and Australian ports. Papeoto was reached on August 4, and liarotonga on August 6. The Manuka sailed again the same day at 10.30 p.m. direct for Wellington, arriving as above. The vovage down was marked by flue weather and calm seas to Rarotonga. After leaving that- port, cold weather set in, accompanied by. strong winds and considerable sea, these conditions continuing well down to the New Zealand coast. TAHITI FOR SAN FRANCISCO. During the run across the Taenian Sea from Sydney to Wellington, t.ho Union Company's R.M;S. Tahiti, which arrived early yesterday morning, experienced line clear weather and smooth seas til! August 12, thence moderate variable winds aud heavy sea 3 till port was made. The vessel has on board 95 through passengers for Iviland ports and San Francisco, and a large general cargo for the latter ■ port. In continuation of her journey, the Tahiti leaves Wellington for the Cnlifornian port at 5 p.m. to-day. EAST COAST SERVICE-CHANGES. U is expected that the Mararda will have completed overhaul at Port Chalmers in time to leave Lvtteltnn for Wellington on the evening of Friday. August 23. On Tuesday, August 20, the Mokoia, which ha 3 been relieving the Mararoa in the ferry service, leaves Wellington .at 8 p.m. for Lytteltou and Cunedin, At."the'lastmentioned port she takes up her running in the East Coast service, leaving Duncdin in place of the NHvna on August 23.
