Passing the stand this trio were still in command, with White Cockade at tho head of the others. At tho stand hurdle Sandy Patil was first over, followed by Uranium, White Cockade, Darby Paul, and ThoNa' tive.' Racing round the turn towards Cutts's thero was no change' in the order of the leading division, but Paisano had. run into fifth place. Sandy Paul led over the hurdle at Cutts's, with Uranium, The Native, Paisano, and Koran following in that order, White Cockade ping back. Going hurdle by the mile post the order was little changed, ' but before the next hurdle was reached Paisano had run up alongside Sandy Paul, .with Uranium ond-Tho Native heading tho others. Racing round the turn The Native moved up,, and he and Paisano drew well clear of the others. As they turned into the straight Paisano .was bumped, and lost several lengths. '• The ' Native went on in front of Waterworks, who had passed Paisano, and easily holding his own in-the run from the last hurdle, won by two lengths.
