Present indications p-.ro for moderate to etrong northerly winds, a falling- barometer everywhere, and milder and changeable weather, and probably showcry in parts, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. ■ The barometer has fallen everywhere, with fair to cloudy weather generally, but rain has fallen northward of Auckland. Shannon, August 14.—Very keen frost on Tuesday night; Wednesday cold and dm;. Otaki, August 14.—Five degrees ol frost, which is a record for eomo years. This wa3 followed by bright sunshine. Carterton, August 14—The weather is fine, but cold. There was a heavy frost this morning. ' Feathsrston, August 14.—Heavy frost in morning; bright fine day. Greytown. August 14—A sharp frost this morning, and a fine day. Mnsterton, August 14.—Another heavy frost was experienced last night, this being followed by a spring-like day.
