Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agoncy Co. report:—At our Waikanae sale yestetday we offeTed a large yarding of both sheep and cattle to a full attendance of buyers, who were present from Palmerston North, Shannon, Levin;- and Wellington, as well as from the surrounding .districts. The sale opened well, and, under keen competition, the whole of our entry, except one small pen of cattle, changed' hands at highly satisfactory prices. Hoggets ■ and breeding ewes were in strong demand. TVe sold breeding ewes up to fresh-full mouths from 18s. Sd. to 19s.
