MEAT TRADE WITH GERMANY.
AN OPENING FOR AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, August 12. The Attorney-General (Mr. Hughes) has has received a letter from Herr Hogo Dahms, of Berlin, stating that a slaughtered bullock, placed in a freezing chamber at Berlin, was found tan months afterwards to. comply with the strict German regulations. ■Regarding tlio frozen meat trade, the letter urges Australia to push trade in neat in Germany, and advises that the method of dressing should be altered in accordance with European requirements. The Commonwealth should seek an international conference, with a view to obtaining uniformity in the regulations. This would mean, that shipment? could be directed to whatever European market at the time being offered the best returns.
