9 ALDERSHOT SPEED TRIALS.By Teleeraph—Press Association- Copyright London, August 11. In connection with the aviation speed trials at Ald-ershot the following result has been officially announcedA Hanriot monoplano did 7-1.6 miles an hour; a Deperlussin, CO.l miles; and a Bleriot monoplane, 61.1 miles. Other trials wore held, results of. which' have not been disclosed. A DUCHESS MAKES A FLIGHT. London, August 11. Mr. C. Grahame White, the well-known aviator, accompanied by the Duchess of Westminster, made a flight oveT Cowes, Isle of Wight. AMERICAN AERIAL MAIL. Now York, August 11. Walter Edwards, in a sixty horse-power aeroplane, established the first aerial mail In the north-west. In a seven mile flight he carried fifteen hundred pieces of mail. He covered the distance in ten minutes. GORDON BENNETT RACE. New York, August 11. Aa a result of the recent balloon elimination races, Captain Honeywell, John Watts, and Albert Holtze will act as pilots to the American balloons competing in the Gordon Bennett race, to be hold in Germany in..the autumn. | ■■■ \
