AMBROSE M'KAY'S DEATH.
• v DR. M'ARTHUR'S FINDING. Dr. M'Artliur, S.M., who conducted tho inquiry into tho death of Ambrose M'Kay, a tram conductor, returned tho following verdict yesterday morning:— "That tho said Ambrose M'Kay camfe to his death on July 10, 1912, at the Wellington Hospital, from compression of tho brain, due to hemorrhage, following on a fraoturod base of tho skull. Tho deceased accidentally fell from tho oar while in tho execution of his duty as a :tram conductor. The duties necessarily entail a certain amount of danger to those employed; but the coroner is ;of opinion tliat'somo of the riste might be minimised, and recommends tho serious consideration of tho matter to the tramway authorities and the Public Works Department."
