The destroyers pluckily maintained contact with the armoured warships, while the submarines, after a whole night at sea, torpedoed tho battleships under tho English coast. ACCIDENTS TO U.S. WARSHIPS, (Rec. August 11, 8.5 p.m.) New York, August 9. During tho naval manoeuvres, the battleship Nebraska was badly damaged through striking an uncharted reef near the Point Judith light. The battleship .Connecticut broke her starboard crank shaft, which will take weeks to repair.
