Captain Davy, of the Vancouver Cadets, states that it was understood on leaving Vancouver that there would bo 5000 dollars ready in the bank. Leading citizens had guaranteed this, but evidently they thought there was no immediate need. The Cadets also anticipated free passes on tho railways, but these had not been granted, though a considerable reduction had been allowed. Their audiences also were under expectations. .
