Messrs. Mgety and Company, litd., report:—We held ouir weekly s»!e at Palmerston North yesterday, when a. fairly large yarding of stock cuinc to hand, but there was onJy a smalt attendance of buyers. Sheen: Small mixed hoggets, Bs. Id. to Us. 4d.; good ewe hoggets, to 13s. 7d.; good mixed hoggets, to 14s. Id.; empty ewes, Us. lCd. to 12s. 4d.;" two-tooth ewes, in lamb, 16s. fd. Cattle: Twenty-months steers, ,to £4; cows in calf, £4. £5, to £5 se. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report:—At our Feilding sale this week there was a. heavy yarding'of sheep and a good yardinir of cattle. Kwe hoggets, 12s. 6d. to 13s. lCd.;. fat and forward ewes, 13s. 6d. to Us. lid.; 6tore wethers, to 15s. <d.; fat wethers, to 20?. Bd.; ewes, in lamb, Us. 6d. to 13s. 7d.;-: mixed aged purebred Homney ewes, in lamb, to 225. 6d. Cattle: Store cows, £2 to £4; dairy heifers, to.£6; spring cows, to £7 lEs.: yearling, to £2. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held our fortnightly saJe at Miller's Road, Dannevirke, yesterday, when we offered a small entry, of both cheep and cattlo to about the usual attendance of buyeTfi. Bidding was very dull throughout, and prices wqro slightly lower than late ratOE. Fat ewes, 16s. 3d.; empty ewes, 125.; fat cows, from Te Ohu Station, from £6 15s. to 7 guineas; storp cp\vs, poor condition, £2 to £3; springing heifers, £4 15s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., In conjunction with Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a most successful clearing ealc on August 8 on account of Mr. James Bruce, Turakina. Buyers wore present in large numbers, and all the stock, implements, etc., met with a ready sale at the .following prices -.—Sheep: F,wo hoggets, 15s. 3d.; wether hoggets, 13s. 7d.; mixed hogcrets (small), 10s. lid.; cull hoggets, 6s. 2d.j ewes, in lamb to Itomney rams, two-tootbs 205., 20s. Id.; six-tooth, 205.; two, four, six nnd f.f.m. ewes, 13s. 7d.; f.f.m., 17s. 7d.; aged, Us. 10d.; fat and forward wethers, 19s. 7d.; forward wethers. 16s. ttl.i cull wethers, 17a.; fat and forward ewe's, 15s. Cattle: Dairy cows, in milk, £5 10s. to £6 7s. 6d.; cows, in calf, £4 17s. 6d.; twenty-months steers, £3 15s. to £4: two-year heifers, in coif. £3 17s. 6d.; mixed weanere. £2 19s;; bulls. £2 to £3 Is. Horses: Draught mares in foal, £35 to £38 10s.; dranght geldings, £35 to £39: lighter do., £23 to £25; hack and harness horses, £9 ss. to £9 10s.; others, £4 to.£6 10s.; implements, sundries, and furniture realised good values.
Messrs. .Abraham and Williams report having held a successful clearing sale on behalf of Messrs. Walsh Bros. <it liongomai on Thursday last. Quotations: 182 ewce in lamb, 205.; 107. hoggets, 12s. 6d.; fdt owes, 15i=. 6d.; aged rams, 10s.; twoyear steers.' £3; mare. £11; wool press, £11 155.. Sundries made good values.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams report a most successful dairy sale on account of Mr. E. W. Nunn, Loncbush. yest.erday. The cows were a (rood lot, and eold un to £13 10s.. the whole line of 76, including old cows, three-quartered cows, etc., makine the splendid average of £7 ss. Half-bred Holstoin hulls, £9 to £21; springing heifers. £6 10s. to £7 11s.: ewes, in lamb, 18s. 6d.; bows, £2 10s. to £2 15g.; cows, on behalf of other vendors, £6 to £7 £e.
